Indonesia and Korea have joined China in the semi-finals of the Yonex Sudirman Cup, badminton's
world team championship, in Glasgow.
Indonesia, Korea and Denmark all finished with two wins and one defeat from their three group
matches in Division One. Indonesia's 4-1 victory over Hong Kong was enough to finish in first place.
Korea qualified despite losing 3-2 to Denmark, who finished on the same number of points but miss
out having won fewer individual matches.
The last semi-final berth will be filled on Thursday. Presuming China, who are yet to drop a game
in the Yonex Sudirman Cup, win against Malaysia, England will qualify for the knockout rounds if
they beat Thailand. But both the Thais and Malaysia could still go through if the English lose.
The teams trying to earn promotion to the top division also play their final group matches, with
Japan and Singapore favourites to secure places in Friday's play-off.
